The Relationship
As highlighted by Pulkit, white-collar workers constantly receive new tech and software that drastically increase their capabilities, but blue-collar workers often get neglected, receiving much slower innovation. Proxgy's mission is to capitalise on this, building blue-collar systems designed to increase worker safety, vigilance and execution while on the job site. Paired with the close friendship AG and Pulkit formed after meeting on a trip to India, this naturally created a one-of-a-kind opportunity for AG.
Pulkit was no stranger to startups, having previously founded Cabsguru, which was acquired by ORIX, before leading product and strategy at ORIX’s Indian arm for four years. He started Proxgy in Gurugram in 2020, and it gained national attention on Shark Tank India’s opening season, winning backing from Ashneer Grover and Peyush Bansal. Its flagship SmartHat detects hazards and monitors gas and temperature, and the ProHat and Hat+ bands add cooling, 4G and fall detection to existing helmets. More recently, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag came on board as an investor in March 2026.
People
Studied computer science and took an MBA, then worked as a research associate at S&P Capital IQ and co-founded Cabsguru. Founded Proxgy in 2020 and still leads it as chief executive.
Leads Proxgy's technology as CTO, building the smart safety helmets that track location, vital signs and harmful gases, and the bands that turn any helmet smart.
