AG’s connection to cricket long predates ArGento. Having grown up watching and following the sport, his appreciation for the game naturally led to an ownership interest in 2019, when he and his associate Terrol Cummins acquired the Barbados Tridents.

That connection later extended to the Rajasthan Royals, where AG also took an equity stake. Both investments were ultimately realized in 2026, but they reflected something more fundamental than an investment thesis: a genuine personal affinity for cricket and a longstanding interest in the role that sport plays in culture, community and entertainment.
